Kia ora {{CFirstName}},

It was lovely to meet many of our members at our recent Coffee Catch-up, and I’m looking forward to meeting you all as we continue to offer many more networking opportunities.

I have lived in Marlborough for 40+ years, so I thought I had a pretty good handle on the great things that happen in our region, but what I am reminded of in this new role, is that we punch well above our weight with the remarkable things that happen here. We have some incredible businesses doing some incredible things on an international stage, and as a Chamber we are proud to represent that.

I encourage you all to register to attend our upcoming events (the next one being our Business After 5 at Mag and Turbo) as it is a great opportunity to celebrate the innovation and success of our peers and perhaps encourage you to think about how you can think outside the square in your own business.

As Léa and I settle into our new roles, we will be reaching out to our membership for feedback about our offering at the Chamber. What can we do better? What training would you like to see? Do you know about all the benefits you receive as a member? Are you using your membership to access discounts at both our regional and national partners? We are excited to reinvigorate the Chamber and ensure we are doing our best to meet the needs of our membership.

Marlborough Cancer Society are looking for a volunteer Treasurer to join their committee. The role involves 3–4 hours per month, including a monthly committee meeting, with additional time needed initially and during audits.
