Unreal Engine is the world's most utilised and successful gaming engine. Unreal Engine is used to create AAA games, AR, VR, film, advertising, and more! In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Unreal Engine and how to add 'assets' into your own game. At the end of the session, you will be able to run a character around the game map/environment that you created!

Create your own Virtual Reality App

We'll take you on a journey through virtual reality to explore and learn how to use this technology to retell the story of How Maui slowed the Sun in your own App creation. ***PLEASE NOTE: As this is an all day session you will be unable to attend other workshops on the same day.***

Autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV); are unmanned, untethered vehicles used to conduct research for marine biology, aquaculture etc. In this workshop, you will get to explore the applications of marine robotics in science, engineering and technology. Then we'll look at underwater communication systems, the software and computer languages to control a vehicle wirelessly before you design and make your own aqua-bot.

Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that combines the real and virtual worlds, registers virtual objects on top of the real world, and needs to be interactive in real-time. In this interactive workshop, you will learn about the fundamentals of AR, how it's used in the workplace, create the target marker using Unity-3D and Vuforia, and develop your own AR app. ***PLEASE NOTE: As this is an all day session you will be unable to attend other workshops on the same day.***
