Alistair Schorn

About

An economist by training, Alistair has more than two decades of experience in economic development and corporate consulting. Alistair holds a Masters Degree in International Economics, and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.

Before joining the Chamber team, he was a Senior Economist at Infometrics, one of New Zealand’s leading economic consultancies. You may also recognise him from his time as Economic Development Advisor at Marlborough District Council. 

 Alistair and his family relocated to Marlborough in mid-2018. They love the region’s laid-back lifestyle and the natural beauty around them, particularly the Marlborough Sounds. When he’s not working, you’ll find Alistair on the mountain bike trails or trying his hand at spearfishing.
