Seeking Contributors to Help Us Better Understand the Blenheim Visitor Experience
The Marlborough Chamber of Commerce and Destination Marlborough is bringing together a Blenheim-focused Visitor Experience Working Group. We are seeking people who can contribute their insights, operational knowledge, and day-to-day observations to help us build a stronger, more complete understanding of the visitor experience in Blenheim. Our aim is to understand what’s working well, where the pressure points are, and where the greatest opportunities lie to enhance how visitors experience our town.
This work is centred on the specific factors shaping Blenheim’s visitor experience, including infrastructure and amenities, cultural storytelling, environmental considerations, and how visitors move through and engage with the region. Your input will be key to forming a realistic picture of current strengths and gaps.
Through this collaborative effort, we aim to:
· Identify the key issues influencing visitor experience in Blenheim
· Bring together a range of local perspectives to deepen our understanding of visitor needs
· Explore opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and experience development across sectors
· Ensure local insights align with the Marlborough Destination Management Plan and support future planning
· Shape recommendations that can help inform discussions between industry, the Chamber, Destination Marlborough, and Council partners
We’re looking for people who can contribute their experience, insights, and observations to help us build a clearer, shared understanding of Blenheim’s visitor experience. Your contribution will help guide improvements that support both the community and Marlborough’s wider visitor economy.
Date: Monday 16 March 10.30am – 12pm at the Chamber
